Sotirios Pavlidis

Sotirios was born in Gifhorn in 1996 and graduated 2012 at the Hoffman-von-Fallersleben Realschule. In 2015, he finished his Abitur at the Albert-Schweitzer-Gymnasium in Wolfsburg.

He studied Chemistry at the Georg-August-University Göttingen (Germany) in and received his bachelor's degree in 2019 in the research group of Prof. Sven Schneider working on "Synthesis and Functionalization of a Rhenium(VI) Nitride PNP Pincer Complex".
In the same research group he also finished his master thesis in 2023 with the topic "Benzylic C-H Amination by Group 10 Metallonitrenes".

Since August 2023 he is a PhD student in Abbenseth group at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.
He is working on the development of geometrically constrained pnictogen and transition metal compounds for catalytic hydroelementation reactions.
